If I Had a Million Dollars.

I would:

1. Pay off my debt.
2. Pimp my house. New kitchen, new bathroom, finish the basement, put up a solar/green roof, install a corn stove, build a deck on the roof, new windows, connect the garage to the house and turn the garage roof into a garden.
3. Buy a vehicle that costs more than $500 and will pass PA inspection.
4. Oh yeah, tithe. Is that gross or net?
5. Buy and rehab a couple houses in the neighborhood. Start my little plan to improve the look of the neighborhood and increase homeownership. I'm telling you, it's brilliant. Modesty?
6. Buy a corner store (preferably the one on 9th and Cayuga) and start up some little businesses.
7. Start an endowment for HPCA and build them a gym.
8. Pour a new sidewalk for my whole block. It makes a huge difference.
9. Start a Chick-Fil-A franchise in the pending Logan Triangle development. (Really, I only need $5k for that.)
10. Hire a private security company to patrol the park 24 hours a day and keep people safe.
12. Start an annual neighborhood contest for "the best idea" and fund one great idea a year.
13. Start a neighborhood co-op for just about everything.
14. Pay taxes. Drat.
15. Fly to Africa, Haiti, or somesuch and figure out what to do with the rest of my money there.
16. Buy an Ultimate Chalupa and an ice cold Dr. Pepper.

But alas, I don't even have a million cents.
