Some Middle Aged People Were Really Digging Three Times Dope Tonight

Even though I was in the suburbs, I felt obligated to play "Funky Dividends" by Three Times Dope tonight, simply because the band hails from Hunting Park, here in North Philadelphia. It was great to see that a good handful of folks in their mid to late 30's were loving it. I'm still not certain what makes a great DJ, but nostalgia is certainly part of the mix.



Another older gentleman loved "Oh How Happy" by Edwin Starr from way back in 1966. It's just a lot of fun to bring back memories for people.

As time goes on, I am starting to think that classic soul is my favorite genre of music.
