In case you think this is something new...

One of my college classmates wrote the following in an email to me today:

looks like you are up to some good stuff. as usual. i've always admired you- your candid ability to just say what you were thinking. Like how in class everyone said they read the book (when they really didn't) and you just out and out said you didn't read it cause you were too busy- or you didn't like it or something.

That made me chuckle.
