Attorneys and Haberdashers

The top three Presidential candidates for each party are attorneys. On the Republican side, it's not enough for Fred Thompson to just be an attorney. He even plays one on tv.

I have nothing against attorneys. I used to work in a law firm and Ayuda hosts a free legal clinic every month. I know some great attorneys. Still, I find it strange that there aren't other professions represented among likely presidential contenders.

For the record, Harry S. Truman was a haberdasher before he was a President.
