"IN GERMANY IN BOTH WORLD WARS"

I have this photo on my desk of my grandfather's cousin George in Germany. The top left of the photo has "GEORGE BECKER IN GERMANY IN BOTH WORLD WARS." typed on it. Handwritten on the bottom in cursive is "Cousin in Germany." Typed on the back is the following:

"GEORGE BECKER - SON OF WILHELM BECKER - GRANDFATHER KONRAD BECKER'S OLDER BROTHER WHO STAYED IN GERMANY. GEORGE SERVED IN THE GERMAN ARMY IN BOTH WORLD WARS. A MAJOR IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR. CAPTURED BY THE BRITISH. GEORGE'S MOTHER WAS FRED OEHLHOF'S SISTER."

I think it's pretty fascinating.
