Sometimes You're the Windshield, Sometimes You're the Bug.

That was Randy Wolf's take on today's pummeling of rookie pitcher Cole Hamels at the hands of the Cubs.

As of this post, the Reds are losing to the Giants in the 6th inning, 2-3. Former Phillie Eric Milton is on the mound for the Reds. I once saw Milton go 8 and two-thirds innings into a no-hitter only to have it botched on a terrible play in center field by Doug Glanville. Routine pop fly to shallow center and he takes two steps backwards before adjusting. Too little, too late. Milton's second career no-hitter is thwarted by a bad center fielder. 30,000 fans instantly hate Doug Glanville.

Anyway, if the Reds lose, the Phils are still 1.5 games back in the Wild Card race. If the Reds win, we're back to 2.5 games behind.

Will there be baseball in Philadelphia come October?
